Sleep, Wake, Brush, and Go!

sleep, wake, brush, and go!

How did it happen that I haven’t posted a picture of Day 4?  As much as I enjoy having my hair straight, it just doesn’t stay that way.  Today’s hair is the result of yesterday’s efforts.  Yesterday I just couldn’t pull off anymore straight-ness so I curled the ends with a big fat curling iron.

Then I slept on it.

Then I woke up.

Then I brushed it.

Then I took this picture.

Actually that’s not true.  You see all of my Hair Care Girl pictures are taken at the end of the day.  Which, if you think about it, is even more impressive!

It’s more impressive because the photos here are after a full day’s work, plus running around, sitting outside for hours on end at sporting events, getting wind-blown, rained on, and otherwise assaulted by our Northwest weather.

And still, it survives!

Jiffy Lube and Teenagers

Day 10: I love complimentsThis!  This is the style I’ve been wanting to post.  I’m a little bummed though because it didn’t turn out very well today.  This style normally looks better than this.  But my arms got tired and I ran out of time so this had to do.

I’m on Day 10 which means it’s the home stretch. My hair actually looked pretty good this morning (even after exercising) and if I didn’t have to work I would have worn in down.  But it was starting to move like a wig so I had to dig into my bag of tricks and jazz it up a little.

This is my #1 trick.  Every time I wear my hair like this I get compliments.  Here are a few examples:

Jiffy Lube guy: “I’m not flirting so don’t take this the wrong way, but I really like your hair.”
(This is my favorite and I immediately came home and told my husband.)

Client at work: “Wow, I really like your hair.”

Teenage girl in my car (not related): “Ohhh!  I love your hair”

Teenage girl #2 in my car (still not related): “Yeah, it looks really pretty”.

Teenage girl in my car (related): *silence*

Total time from shower to shoes: 35 minutes
