When camouflage turns classy

Day 6: Camouflage at its bestDay 6.  This is one of my favorite ways to wear my hair.  It looks classy, professional, and I don’t have to apply any heat to it.  This is definitely my ‘go-to’ hair style.  In a word, this style is the ultimate camouflage.  See those cute little gold flowers?  Adding any type of decorative element like this makes it look like you were purposeful with your hair (which we both know is not the case).

And see all those little hairs poking this way and that?  I don’t care about those.  Without them I look like a school-marm, with them I look casually elegant.  It’s my version of a messy bun which I know teenagers can pull off but I can’t.

Disclaimer:  Sometimes I actually have to work for this look because the bun is to-to messy or to-to perfect.  And we wouldn’t want that, would we?

Total time from shower to shoes: 25 minutes (includes rifling through my daughter’s hair stuff to steal her cute bobby pins)

I’ve got your back

Day 5: I've got your backIsn’t this fabulous?  I don’t know what to say.  (Well I do know what to say but I don’t know how to say it without bragging).  The Hair Care Girl lifestyle is full of surprises.  Today was a good hair day. I could have sworn today was going to be a ponytail day.  I had no time to  devote to my hair  plus it was rainy, rainy, rainy today.  But look what happened!

I’ve learned that I can’t get attached to what I want my hair to look like.  It is what it is, and it’s always changing.  Today is Day 5.  Day 4 is missing because I worked from home yesterday and didn’t get out of my sweats.  Which means I also didn’t get out of my scrunchie.  And I went running in the rain.   This was yesterday.  Today is the result of utter hair care laziness.  I think the pay off was totally worth it.

Total time from shower to (cute) shoes: 20 minutes
