The Naked Lady Said: Moroccan Oil

Moroccan Oil saved this hairCan you believe it’s been 11 days since I washed my hair?  Yesterday it was so bad I had to wear it tucked back in a braid AND a bun.  So, how in the world did this recovery happen?

In a word (two words really), Moroccan Oil.

Have you heard about Moroccan Oil?  The first time I heard about it was at the gym.  The lady next to me was naked and putting this great smelling stuff in her hair.  After I got over the shock of her being naked right next to me I gathered up my courage and asked her about her delicious smelling hair product.  She told me it was Moroccan Oil.  I didn’t give it another thought.

Fast forward a couple of months and my trusty hair gal puts it in my hair.  And I’m like, “Yummmm, what is that smell?”  And she tells me, “It’s Moroccan Oil”.  So I bought some.  I’m such an easy mark.

So last night when I took my hair out of all the knots and braids it was looking pretty dry and scraggly.  Sort of like straw.  But worse.  So I bushed it out and applied a generous portion of Moroccan Oil.  I massaged it through, wrapped my hair in my trusty scrunchie and went to bed.

This morning when I took out my scrunchie I had nice soft supple waves of healthy looking hair.  All I had to do was tame the very ends in the back so they were all facing the same direction.  Everything else worked like magic.

I know it’s a little bouffant-y but that’s okay.  When I wear this hair style I feel like a Southern Belle.  And that’s a good feeling.  Y’all.

Before You Start

Step 1: Get a Shower Cap!

Who wants to wash their hair everyday?  It damages your hair, takes time, costs money, and forces you to make decisions you don’t want to make.  Who wants that?  Not.  Me.

To fix this problem I only wash my hair every 14 days.  Yes, that IS only 2 times a month.

You think this is gross?  It’s not.  I mean I DO wash my self.  I just skip the hair part.

My hair went from damaged, dry and dull, to thick, luxurious, and shiny in 3 months.  No lie.

Step #1:  Buy a shower cap.
I like the terry cloth kind because they’re super comfy.  You can use whatever you can find or what’s cheapest.  Please note:   If you’re in a relationship where your looks and sexy-ness are important you may want to either warn your partner or shower in private.  Trust me on this one.  Jokes will abound.
